90dayRx Program

Save with ninety-day prescriptions by mail or retail

If you have prescriptions that you fill regularly, you may be able to save by getting a 90-day supply at once. The 90dayRx program, included with some plans, lets you choose how to get your prescriptions — order by mail and have them delivered to your home, or go to your participating neighborhood pharmacy and have them filled on the spot. The savings are the same either way. The program is available through Prime Therapeutics.

Delivery of your order

Once you place your order, your prescription drugs will be delivered, postage-paid, direct to your home by first-class U.S. mail. Please allow 10-14 days for delivery.

Tips for ordering drugs by mail

  • Fill out the forms completely. Clearly indicate whether any of the prescriptions should be shipped to someone other than the primary addressee.
  • Provide a phone number or e-mail where you can be reached during the day. This is especially important if your medication is temperature-sensitive or is a high-cost medication. PrimeMail will contact you to arrange delivery.
  • Have your doctor request the maximum quantity your benefit allows. If you are unsure, have your doctor write, "maximum amount allowed by benefit" on your prescription and provide directions so PrimeMail may be able to provide you the maximum quantity allowed by your plan.
  • Ask your doctor to prescribe your medication by its generic name. This will help ensure that you receive the generic version. The State of Texas, which governs PrimeMail’s dispensing practices, requires certain medications to have the generic name written on the prescription in order for PrimeMail to be able to provide you with the generic formulation.
  • If you see a nurse practitioner, physician’s assistant or other non-physician prescriber, ask them to ensure the overseeing practitioner’s name and DEA number is printed on the prescription form. Otherwise, please ask them to have the physician sign the prescription and provide his or her DEA number. This is required by the State of Texas, which regulates the dispensing practices of PrimeMail.
  • PrimeMail is not able to fill prescriptions for compound medications. A compound drug is where 2 or more medications are mixed together. One of these must be a federal legend drug. The end product must not be available in an equivalent commercial form.
